Accessible Facilities

Accessible toilets are located throughout T1 International Terminal for your convenience.

Accessible Parking

Accessible Parking for the mobility impaired is provided within all public car parks at Sydney Airport, located as close as possible to terminals.

Dedicated disabled parking spaces are conveniently located within the car park at the front of the T1 terminal. These are clearly marked and are restricted for passengers with cars displaying a valid 'disability' card.

There are also two set down areas also available on the departures level with wheelchair ramps.  Look for the signs. The car must display a valid "disability" card and the driver must stay with the vehicle at all times.

Automatic doors and lifts

Automatic doors and lifts to all levels of the international terminal cater for those using wheelchairs or with mobility restrictions.

Chemist

There are two Chemist shops conveniently located within T1.  One is located on the arrivals level in the centre of the terminal near the glass lifts and the other is located airside next to Gate 24.

Drinking fountains

Wheelchair-accessible drinking fountains are located in the T1 International Terminal.

Medical Centre

Sydney Airport Medical Centre offers many services to travellers, staff and visitors to the airport. Located on Level 3 of T1 and is open 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday. The Medical Centre can be contacted on 9667 4355.

For urgent medical attention dial 9090 on any Sydney Airport phone ( not the Telstra telephones) in the terminal.

Rampways

Kerbside rampways are provided from the street to the sidewalk. They have also been fitted internally where there are stairs to negotiate.

Transport

Buses, Taxis, Car Hire, Rail and Shuttle Bus Services conveniently located outside of the terminal.

TTY Phones

TTY phones are located at various points within the T1 terminal. All public telephones are hearing aid compatible. 

  • Level 1 (arrivals)                Opposite exit gates A/B arrivals
  • Level 2 (departures)          At the end of check-in counter G
  • Level 2 (airside - Pier B)   At departure gate 22
  • Level 2 (airside - Pier C)   At the base of the escalators leading to the airlines lounges

Wheelchairs

Passengers requiring a wheelchair to get to their aircraft  will need to contact their airline directly.

If you require a wheelchair whilst within the terminal you may borrow one from Smartcarte Baggage Storage office.  Located on Arrivals (Level 1). Hours of operation 5.30am-9.30pm.

PLEASE NOTE:  You will be required to leave your drivers licence of photo ID as a deposit which will be returned to you when you return the chair.
