Accessible Facilities

Accessible toilets are located throughout T1 International Terminal for your convenience.

ATM's

Automatic Teller Machines are conveniently located throughout the terminal.

Arrivals level

  • ANZ machine near the train station entrance
  • ANZ machine opposite passenger exit doors A/B
  • ANZ machine between the accommodation booking desk and the Travelex outlet  

Departure level

  • ANZ machine next to the Travelex outlet at the end of check-in counter C
  • ANZ machine next to the Travelex outlet at the end of check-in counter E
  • ANZ machine at the back of the Food Court
  • ANZ machine opposite check-in counter H
  • ANZ machine within the ANZ bank branch at the end of check-in counter J

Airside

  • ANZ machine next to the Travelex outlet opposite the transfer desk - Pier B
  • ANZ machine located at the base of the escalators leading to the airline lounges - Pier C

Baby Change Rooms

Baby change rooms for parents are located throughout the terminal on arrivals and departures levels. Each change room is fitted with a microwave for the convenient heating of food and formula.

Baggage Storage

Baggage Storage Facility located on arrivals level next to McDonalds. Click here for more information on baggage services.

Chemist

There are two Chemist shops conveniently located within T1.  One is located on the arrivals level in the centre of the terminal near the glass lifts and the other is located airside next to Gate 24.

Children's Play Areas

Help keep your children amused before your flight at the children's play areas.

As part of the T1 redevelopment new childrens facilities are being developed both landside and airside.

These are located in the following areas:

Landside between check-in counters A & B and at the end of check-in counter J.

Airside you will find a kids cinema and play area between Gates 31 & 33 in Pier B and between Gates 58 & 59 in pier C.

Disabled Parking

Dedicated disabled parking spaces are conveniently located within the car park at the front of the T1 terminal. These are clearly marked and are restricted for passengers with cars displaying a valid 'disability' card. 

There are two set down areas also available on the departure level with wheelchair ramps.  Look for the signs. The car must display a valid "disability" card and the driver must stay with the vehicle at all times.

Internet Facilities

Sydney Airport provide free internet kiosks throughout T1 terminal for you to check your email or surf the web before departing.

Kid's Cinema

Tired kids can be a handful, so why not take them to a comfortable area where they can sit and watch a range of television shows. Located near Gate 33 - Passengers Only.

Media Centre

Media Centre and VIP Rooms located on arrivals level of T1. For all bookings contact bookings@syd.com.au

Medical Centre

Sydney Airport Medical Centre offers many services to travellers, staff and visitors to the airport. Located on Level 3 of T1 and is open 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday. The Medical Centre can be contacted on 9667 4355.

Money Exchange

Money Exchange facilities are conveniently located throughout the terminal on both arrival and departure levels.

Observation Deck

Sit back and enjoy yourself watching the airport activities from the outside Observation Deck. Walk through Volare Cafe to gain access to the Deck.

Phone Store

Vodafone have two stores  on the arrival level which can assist you with all your phone requirements.

There is also another store located air side near gate 24.

Post Office

The Post Office is located on arrivals level in the centre of the terminal.  It is open for business every day of the week.

Prayer Room

A prayer room is located on Level 3 of T1 to accommodate the religious needs of all our travellers.

A second prayer room is located within the taxi holding area at T1 to service the requirements of all taxi drivers.

Rampways

Kerbside rampways are provided from the street to the sidewalk. They have also been fitted internally where there are stairs to negotiate.

Showers

Complimentary shower facilities are available through the terminal at the following locations. There are currently no towel vending services available.

Departures level

  • Northern end - behind Check-in Counter B
  • Southern end - behind Check-in Counter K
  • Gate 24 - Passengers Only
  • Gate 25 - Passengers Only
  • Gate 31 - Passengers Only
  • Gate 51 - Passengers Only

Arrivals level

  • centrally located behind the glass lifts

Smoking Area

Smoking is not permitted inside of the terminal, we have accommodated the needs of smokers by providing designated smoking areas that are located outside of the building on the departures and arrival roadway.

Trolleys

Trolleys for departing passengers are conveniently located on the departure roadway and in the car park ($4.00 each) and for arriving passenger trolleys are located in the baggage reclaim hall following Customs processing (Free of charge).

TTY Phones

TTY phones are located at various points within the T1 terminal. All public telephones are hearing aid compatible.

  • Level 1 (arrivals)                Opposite exit gates A/B arrivals
  • Level 2 (departures)          At the end of check-in counter G
  • Level 2 (airside - Pier B)  At departure gate 22
  • Level 2 (airside - Pier C)  At the base of the escalators leading to the airlines lounges

Tourist Refund Scheme

The Tourist Refund Scheme offices, operated by Australian Customs Service are located airside.  Pier B office located opposite gate 10, Pier C office immediately behind Customs primary line.

Transport

Buses, Taxis, Car Hire, Rail and Shuttle Bus Services conveniently located outside of the terminal.

Unaccompanied Luggage

Have a little bit of extra luggage and need to send it unaccompanied.  Then the desk is located next to Check-in counter "B" on the departures level.

Wheelchairs

Passengers requiring a wheelchair to get to their aircraft  will need to contact their airline directly.

If you require a wheelchair whilst within the terminal you may borrow one from Smartcarte Baggage Storage office.  Located on Arrivals (Level 1). Hours of operation 5.30am-9.30pm.

PLEASE NOTE:  You will be required to leave your drivers licence of photo ID as a deposit which will be returned to you when you return the chair.
