- Sydney Airport customer service staff to assist passengers
Sydney Airport has advised customers to plan ahead when travelling to the airport these school holidays, with a range of special events being held across Sydney, as well as government-scheduled road closures and rail track work.
“Due to the major events being held in Sydney over this weekend, the long weekend and throughout the busy school holiday period, we’re encouraging travellers to allow additional time when travelling to Sydney Airport,” Sydney Airport Chief Executive Officer, Kerrie Mather, said.
“People travelling from the North Shore in particular should allow additional time to get to the airport on Sunday, 22 September, with the Harbour Bridge and some city roads closed for the Sydney Running Festival.
“There will also be additional traffic on our roads this weekend due to scheduled track maintenance, with buses to replace trains on the Airport Line on 21 and 22 September.
“We thank customers for their patience. Sydney Airport will have customer service staff on hand in our terminals to assist people with any queries they may have.”
The school holiday period runs from tomorrow until Monday, 7 October.
Major events scheduled over the school holidays include the Sydney Running Festival, the Royal Australian Navy International Fleet Review, One Direction concerts, Manly Jazz, NRL Finals and Parramasala.
