• Travellers advised to allow additional time to travel to Sydney Airport on 16 April due to special event road closures

Sydney Airport has advised people travelling to the airport tomorrow, Wednesday 16 April, that Ross Smith Avenue may be closed for periods of time between approximately 1.00pm to 5.00pm for a special event.
Ross Smith Avenue is expected to be closed between the helicopter precinct and the intersection of Joyce Drive and General Holmes Drive.
Drivers are advised to exit the airport precinct via Butler Avenue.
Road signs and traffic police will be in place to advise drivers of the road closures and detours around the special event zone.
All travellers and airport users are advised to allow plenty of additional time for their journey to the airport, and particularly if they are intending to use the Blu Emu long term car park.
Trains to the airport are unaffected by the special event.
