Sydney Airport update on power interruption

12:57am UPDATE

POWER RESTORED

Power has now been fully restored at Sydney Airport T2 Domestic terminal.

Security screening has recommenced and airlines are operating check-in counters and facilities. 

We are working to move passengers through the terminal as quickly as possible.

Sydney Airport apologises for any inconvenience caused by the power interruption. 



11:31am UPDATE

Power is progressively being restored at Sydney Airport T2 Domestic terminal.

These works may take up to an hour to complete. 

Sydney Airport has identified an issue with a substation, which caused the power interruption and affected back-up power sources.

Sydney Airport will continue to provide further updates as information becomes available. 

Airline delays are expected to continue while power is restored. Passengers should check airline websites for flight information. 



9:30am ALERT

There has been a power interruption at Sydney Airport T2 Domestic terminal.

This is affecting both check-in and screening and causing processing delays.

Sydney Airport is working to restore power as quickly as possible.

We apologise for the inconvenience and will provide further updates as information becomes available.
