Sydney Airport continues to support initiatives driving tourism to Sydney and NSW, and will sponsor the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival for the first time this year.
Six racing days will be held at Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick from 22 March to 26 April, including Sydney’s richest race for fillies and mares.
Our partnership with the Australian Turf Club (ATC) will ensure our incoming domestic and international passengers start their carnival experience as soon as they land in the premier racing destination of Sydney.
The airport recently sponsored the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards held in Sydney on 7 February.
Sydney Airport sponsored the Major Tour and/or Transport Operators category of the awards, with the award winners – Spirit of Tasmania (Gold), Quicksilver Group (Silver) and AAT Kings (Bronze) – featured on a digital billboard at the airport.
The airport was also proud to sponsor the Surf Life Saving (SLS) Branch Age Championships recognising local Nippers for the 13th year running.
Brianna Tier from Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club and Shea Garcia from Elouera Surf Life Saving Club were named the male and female Junior Life Savers of the Year at the awards, which were held at Maroubra Beach. They will now go on to compete at the State Camp in April.
