The Coral Coast has long been a favourite Fiji destination and is one of the most sought-after tourist stretches, beginning 15km south of Nadi. White sand beaches cover the coastline between Nadi and Suva, the perfect setting for large and small accommodation options. Discover one of the world’s largest ‘fringing’ coral reefs, surrounded by rainforests, mangroves and mountainous peaks. Diving and snorkelling are unsurprisingly some of the more popular activities, while the drive from Nadi to the Coral Coast is spectacular in itself.
Nestled amongst the white sands of the Coral Coast, Natadola Beach is considered one of Fiji’s most beautiful (yet unpredictable) beaches. Conditions can be quite rough so unless you’re extremely brave perhaps resist the temptation to windsurf or swim into deep water. An untouchable beauty, Natadola Beach is best enjoyed by the sand or on horse-back. Take a horse ride down the beach and enjoy refreshment from a green coconut. Indulge in a beach-side massage or walk along the shore for stunning sunset photos. Photo by Ken Ku-Chih, available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 2.0 Generic license.
As the name might suggest, Paradise Beach is a sought-after destination for tourists wanting to escape the town for memorable holiday experiences. Once you reach Beqa Island and get a dose of island seclusion and relaxation you won’t want to leave. Enjoy your piece of paradise while it lasts!
