MoVida with its signature brand of Spanish dining is set to open at the end of August 2013.

MoVida is targeting travellers with its signature brand of Spanish dining, with a restaurant at Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic Terminal set to open at the end of August 2013.

The new 137 square metre tapas bar will seat 80 and serve a selection of Spanish tapas and raciones designed to share, as well as breakfast, pastries, sandwiches and bocadillos (Spanish sandwiches).

MoVida favourites on the menu will include ‘Bomba’, a Catalan potato and chorizo dish;  ‘Carrillera de Buey’, slow braised beef cheek in Pedro Ximenez on cauliflower puree; and Jamon and Manchego Bocadillo.

“Sydney Airport’s T2 passengers appreciate choice and quality dining options. MoVida will be the perfect venue for travellers to start their journey in style, and for Sydneysiders to farewell and greet their families, friends and colleagues over a tantalising meal,” Sydney Airport General Manager Retail, Andrew Gardiner, said.

MoVida Owner and Head Chef, Frank Camorra, said he was pleased to be opening MoVida’s sixth restaurant at the main concourse of T2 at Sydney Airport.

“Like other MoVida sites, the key ingredient of fine dining in a fun and informal setting is preserved at T2, with the same attention to the theatre of eating out. Customers will be greeted with a hearty ‘Hola!’ just like a traditional ‘hole in the wall’ Spanish tapas bar.

“Our architect, Adam Dettrick, has designed the new restaurant, referencing MoVida’s staple style throughout the fitout, with a solid Blackwood bar, chunky steel footrests, and eye-catching LED scrolling signage. Terracotta tiles and rustic steelwork stamp the space with MoVida’s unmistakable laneway heritage, whilst Blackwood timbers and intimate lighting provide a warm and inviting space for customers to enjoy the experience,” he said.

MoVida at T2 will be open daily from 6am to 9pm.
