Sydney Airport has begun upgrading the road network in the T1 International terminal precinct. These improvements are the first stage in the implementation of the airport’s ground transport solutions plan.
Our priority is to make it easier to travel to and from the airport by car, taxi or public transport. This will benefit airline passengers and other airport visitors, airport workers and Sydney motorists and commuters generally. Pedestrians and cyclists will also benefit from the changes.
The work to be carried out includes:
During construction, there may be temporary traffic disruption and congestion.
If you are driving to the airport, please allow plenty of time for your journey.
Once at the airport, please observe all road signs and follow instructions from staff.
Sydney Airport will be making every effort to keep disruption to a minimum during construction but there could be stages of the works that will cause delays for motorists. We will provide as much advance information as possible when this is likely to occur. Please refer to the travel advice for the latest road changes.
Some outdoor parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable during construction but additional space in the multi-storey car park will be provided when this occurs.
Discounted parking is available online during construction.
We thank you for your patience and co-operation during the construction of this important project.
