• Travellers should allow additional time to travel to Sydney Airport during Easter school holidays
• Sydney Airport staff to assist passengers
Sydney Airport has advised passengers to plan ahead when travelling to the airport these school holidays, with additional traffic expected over the Easter and Anzac Day long weekends.
“Easter is always a popular travel time, and with Easter and Anzac Day falling within a week of each other this year, many people will be travelling interstate and overseas over the holiday period,” Sydney Airport Chief Executive Officer, Kerrie Mather, said.
“We’re encouraging people to use public transport to get to the airport where possible.
“People who choose to drive should allow extra time to get to the airport, especially during morning and afternoon peak times when there’s additional non-airport traffic on our roads.
“We’re working with stakeholders – including border agencies, government and airlines – to ensure any impacts are minimised and that the airport experience is as smooth as possible.
“We’ll also have airport staff in our terminals to assist with any queries.
“We thank customers for their patience and wish them an enjoyable holiday season.”
