Community engagement

Sydney Airport is committed to engaging with potentially affected local communities concerning this project.

Sydney Airport has briefed members of the Sydney Airport Community Forum (SACF) about the project. More information on SACF can be found here.

A community update about the project was distributed to all households in Kurnell, La Perouse, Phillip Bay and Botany in early December 2019. A second update will be distributed during the week commencing 10 February 2020.

Community notices have also been placed in local community newspapers circulating in potentially affected local communities.

A series of Community Information and Drop-in sessions were held, at which Sydney Airport representatives were on hand to discuss the project with interested residents.

To lodge a complaint

Sydney Airport apologies for the temporary noise impact associated with this essential runway safety project and we are committed to completing the project as quickly as possible to minimise the impact on the community.

If you wish to lodge a noise complaint, you can do so via Airservices Australia's Noise Complaints and Information Service (NCIS).
