We’re proud to be the first Australian airport to launch a partnership with Aira. Providing a free service that enables blind and low vision travellers to confidently navigate the airport through their smartphone.
The app connects passengers to trained agents who provide on-demand, personalised access to visual information, helping to provide a more independent travelling experience for the low vision community.
The service is free for anyone travelling through Sydney Airport’s terminals.
Aira is part of our focus on improving accessibility across the airport, providing a more inclusive experience for all of our passengers.
This partnership has been announced as a finalist in the ‘Customer Service Project of the Year – Customer Impact’ category in this year’s Australian Service Excellence Awards, hosted by the Customer Service Institute of Australia.
