Sydney Airport’s annual Lost Property auction has raised more than $130,000 for charity, thanks to the support of more than 3000 people who turned out for the auction last month.
The auction featured more than 1000 items, ranging from laptops and phones to sunglasses and jewellery. Some of the more unusual items on offer included a motorised scooter and a kimono.
Due to overwhelming support from the public, the auction raised more than double the amount raised last year. The funds will be distributed to a range of charities.
Sydney Airport makes every effort to return lost items to their owners. If you’ve misplaced something at the airport, contact our Lost Property office.
Items which remain unclaimed are sold at an annual auction, with the proceeds going to various charities.
