Sydney Airport has welcomed 52 new Mandarin-speaking Red Ambassadors ahead of Chinese New Year.
The Red Ambassadors play a vital role in assisting the airport’s growing number of Chinese passengers, who are now our second largest international passenger group. In addition to our Red Ambassadors, Sydney Airport’s ‘China-ready strategy’ caters for our Chinese passengers with Chinese language apps and website, wayfinding signage and specialised retail offerings.
The Red Ambassadors complement the airport’s 110 Gold Ambassadors, who are located at the main desk in T1, the Departures point at T1 and the Arrivals Baggage Claim Hall to help passengers with any enquiries.
The Ambassador program has been a great success with a lot of positive feedback from passengers.
Sydney Airport welcomes 37 million passengers a year and we’re focused on providing them with a world-class airport experience. We’ll continue to improve customer service next year by adding more Ambassadors and deploying new technology.
