Sydney Airport’s Master Plan 2033 was approved by the Australian Government in February 2014.
It outlines Sydney Airport’s plan for the operation and development of Australia’s premier airport over the next 20 years.
The master plan includes new proposals for both the T1 and T2/T3 terminal precincts to upgrade your journey to the airport. These were widely supported by the community and other stakeholders during the master plan consultation process.
With the master plan now approved, our priority is to begin implementing these ground transport solutions.

Our priority is to make it easier to travel to, from or past Sydney Airport by car, taxi or public transport. This will benefit airline passengers, airport workers and other airport visitors as well as Sydney motorists and commuters generally.
- Less traffic congestion and smoother traffic flow
- Better facilities for public transport and taxis
- Increasing capacity and catering for forecast growth
- Working with the Australian and NSW Governments
- Improved access for pedestrians and cyclists
