Prepare for your flight

  • There are three terminals at Sydney Airport - T1 for international flights, T2 for domestic and regional flights and the T3 terminal for Qantas domestic and regional services.
  • Check the security regulations in relation to what you can and cannot take through the security screening point and onto an aircraft, including prohibited items, dangerous goods, and liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs).
  • Check your baggage allowances with your airline. If you need to contact your airline, visit our Airline directory for contact details.
  • Ensure that your driver’s licence can be used in your country of destination or that you have organised an international driver’s licence.
  • If you have not already purchased travel insurance along with your ticket, you can purchase it at Sydney Airport at any Travelex outlet or the Australia Post Shop at T1 International terminal located before Customs, near check-in counter J.
