It is highly recommended that you take out appropriate travel insurance prior to travelling overseas. Speak with your insurer for advice on options that will meet your needs.
Travel insurance is designed to cover against personal, baggage and some cancellation risks. It also helps protect against the high cost of emergency medical and hospital care overseas.
Travel Insurance can be purchased before you depart via the Last Chance Travel Insurance kiosk located in the International Terminal (T1) after security checks and duty free. It is staffed daily from 6am to 10pm and is underwritten by ACE Insurance.
Travelex outlets located throughout the International Terminal (T1) at Sydney Airport can also organise travel insurance before you depart, or alternatively the ANZ Bank and Australia Post Office Shop, both located on the Departures level at the International Terminal (T1) offer travel insurance services. Australia Post’s travel insurance services are available between 6am and 3pm daily.
