Scoot boosts services to go double-daily at SYD

Friday 16 May 2025

Sydney Airport has today welcomed the announcement that Scoot will add four additional services between Sydney and Singapore, taking its operations to a double daily at Sydney Airport from October 2025.

The new services, which will be operated on Scoot’s flagship B787-9 aircraft, will boost capacity between Sydney and Singapore, reinforcing Sydney Airport’s position as Australia’s leading gateway to Southeast Asia.

With the addition of Scoot’s new service, across all airlines Sydney Airport will account for almost a third of Australia’s total seat capacity into Singapore, 25 percent more than the next nearest Australian port.

Scoot B787-9 aircraft features 375 seats across two cabins – 35 ScootBiz seats in a 2-3-2 configuration and 340 Economy seats in a 3-3-3 layout. The aircraft is equipped with in-seat power, Wi-Fi, and meal options available for pre-purchase or onboard purchase.

Sydney Airport’s partnership with Scoot spans more than a decade, with the airline launching its inaugural Sydney service in June 2012.

Scoot’s double-daily service at Sydney Airport demonstrates Scoot’s long-term commitment to the Sydney market and responds to continued strong demand for travel between Australia and Singapore.

Greg Botham, Sydney Airport’s Group Executive – Aviation Growth and Group Strategy, said: “Scoot’s new services will provide more choice and flexibility for passengers and support the continued growth of tourism, trade and business links between Australia and Singapore.

“This announcement builds on more than a decade of partnership with Scoot and demonstrates Sydney Airport’s appeal as Australia’s most connected international airport.”
