Sydney Airport launches Fast Track to elevate the passenger experience

Wednesday 15 July 2026

Sydney Airport has recently launched Fast Track, a new service designed to make travelling through Australia's busiest airport faster and easier.

This new offering allows passengers to purchase access to a priority queue prior to the security screening at T1 departures, aiming to reduce stress, save time and enable travellers to move through the airport more efficiently during peak travel periods.

Mark Zaouk, Sydney Airport’s Group Executive, Commercial, said: "More than 42 million people travel through Sydney Airport each year and that number is expected to grow significantly in the decades ahead. Our job is to make sure the airport experience keeps pace with those expectations and remains as smooth, efficient and seamless as possible.

"Fast Track is part of our broader investment in improving the passenger journey by giving passengers more choice, reducing friction and helping people move through the airport more easily.”

The launch builds on Sydney Airport's ongoing investment in the passenger experience, including new SmartGate technology, terminal upgrades and digital services such as Digital Concierge, all designed to deliver faster, more seamless travel experiences.

Sydney Airport continues to advocate for the modernisation of Australia's border processes, including the transition from paper-based systems to digital solutions. Modernising the border will help improve efficiency, support future passenger growth and ensure Australia remains competitive with leading global aviation hubs.

How Fast Track works

  • Passengers departing from Sydney Airport’s international terminal can purchase
  • Fast Track online at www.premiumservices.sydneyairport.com.au/fast-track.
  • Once booked, passengers receive a digital access pass for entry to the priority queue before security at T1 departures.
  • On arrival at the international terminal, passengers go to the “Priority Entry” point, which provides dedicated access for premium and priority passengers, including First and Business Class passengers, passengers requiring assistance, and families.
  • Passengers then proceed through the Fast Track queue and complete the standard security screening process before continuing to their departure gate.
