Sydney Airport Traffic Performance March 2022

Total passenger traffic in March 2022 was 1,844,817 passengers, down 49.5% on the corresponding period in 2019.

Domestic passenger traffic totalled 1,502,366 in March 2022, down 35.6% on the corresponding period in 2019. 342,451 international passengers passed through Sydney Airport in March 2022, down 74% on the corresponding period in 2019.

Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said: “We continue to see a steady recovery in domestic passenger numbers at 64% of pre-COVID levels, with an additional 500,000 domestic travellers making their way through the Domestic terminals in March.

While international passenger traffic is gradually improving, the pace is slower than domestic with international passengers at 26% of pre-COVID levels.”
