We have modernised the departure experience at T1 International by bringing in new security screening technology and automated bag processing to help passengers move through faster and more easily. This means security wait times, which you can now view on our website, will be faster.

In line with government-mandated security requirements, 15 new screening lanes featuring advanced CT scanning technology have been installed, allowing passengers to leave liquids and aerosols in their hand luggage. This upgrade will increase screening capacity by nearly 30 per cent, boosting passenger throughput from 4,500 to 5,850 passengers per hour.

As part of these upgrades, we have also improved the International-to-International transfer process by consolidating two screening areas into one facility. This has created a more efficient and seamless screening experience for passengers transferring between international flights.

The project was completed in December 2025.
