Community takes flight for good cause

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2018 Sydney Airport Family Fun Runway Run and made a valuable contribution to Cure Cancer’s battle against cancer.

More than 250 members of the community hit the tarmac in late November to raise money for cancer research and help mark the start of the six-week Sydney Airport Community Christmas Giving Appeal in support of Cure Cancer.

Our 2017 Appeal funded a two-year research project into childhood neuroblastoma.

We expanded our 2018 Runway Run to include a day of special entertainment and family-friendly activities, including a visit from Santa.

Hundreds of runners competed in a series of events along our iconic east-west runway, wearing Santa hats and Cure Cancer running singlets as they helped spread a message of hope.

Thank you to SNP Security, Assetlink, Heinemann, American Airlines, Virgin Australia, Airport Link, Hamilton Island, NAB, Hotel Komune, Sightline, Kitchen By Mike, Mantra Group, Rydges and Sydney HeliTours, among others, for supporting this year’s Family Fun Runway Run and making it such a successful event.
