Sharing Indigenous culture with a global audience

We were joined by members of the Indigenous community to celebrate National Reconciliation Week. The community showcased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture to arriving passengers at the International terminal, with a traditional Welcome to Country, smoking ceremonies and cultural performances.

We also partnered with the La Perouse Land Council to create an Indigenous cultural experience for passengers to celebrate NAIDOC Week. Arriving passengers were welcomed by a Welcome to Country, performed by an Aboriginal Elder in the Arrivals forecourt.

We were also proud to launch our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), aimed at helping to build stronger relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. Our very first Innovate RAP has been formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia and is part of our ongoing journey to support the community.
