Sydney Airport Corporation Ltd (SYD) is offering customers the chance to go into a draw to win one of two $1000 virtual prepaid Mastercard e-gift cards (the Prize).
The competition commences on 19 February 2025 and concludes on 18 August 2025 (Promotional Period). There will be one Prize drawn at the end of each quarter (Quarter) over the Promotional Period.
To enter the competition, customers must fill in the survey by following the QR code link provided by SYD during the Promotional Period and enter their details. Customers cannot enter the competition more than once each Quarter. Customers can enter the competition in more than one Quarter.
The 2025 Promotional Period includes two (2) Quarters as follows:
a)First Quarter: entries received from 19 February 2025 to 18 May 2025. Prize drawn on 20 May 2025 at 11am AEST; and b) Second Quarter: entries received from 19 May 2025 to 18 August 2025. Prize drawn on 20 August 2025 at 11am AEST.
Entries to the competition received during a Quarter will be drawn at the end of that Quarter. Prizes will be drawn on the dates set out in clause 4 above. One winner each Quarter will be randomly selected (Winner).
By entering the competition, you consent that if you win, your name as a Winner will be published on SYD’s website on the date of the draw each Quarter and will remain there for a period of 4 weeks.
The Winner will also be notified by email. If no response is received via email, the winner will be called on the number provided within 7 days. Entrants must provide a valid email address and a valid Australian phone number to be eligible.
Information on how to enter, the collection of personal information and the Prize forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
Entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain consent from their parent or legal guardian before entering the competition. The parent or legal guardian of entrants under the age of 18 years agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.
Employees and subcontractors (including their immediate families) of SYD, and any of its suppliers, service providers and agencies associated with the competition are not eligible to enter.
Each Prize is a A$1,000 Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard e-gift card. The e-gift card can only be awarded via SMS to a valid Australian mobile phone number. The e-gift card can be used in-store once added to a mobile phone digital ‘wallet’ (Australian accounts of Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay) at contactless point of sale terminals, or you can use your e-gift card online.
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard e-gift card are not included. The Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard e-gift card must be activated within 2 months of issue by following the instructions in the SMS sent to the Winner, or the card may be cancelled. The e-gift card is valid for 12 months after activation. At expiry of the Vault Pays-enabled Mastercard e-gift card, any unused balance will be forfeited. The Winner will not receive notice prior to expiry. Card expiry and balance can be found on your mobile device in your digital wallet. The Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard e-gift card is issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited (ABN 30 131 436 532) AFSL 404131 pursuant to license by Mastercard. Sydney Airport accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen gift cards.
If the Winner does not claim the Prize within 30 days after the relevant draw date, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner. In the event this occurs, SYD will publish on its website that the Prize winner could not be found.
Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
Eligibility of entries and the awarding of Prizes is solely within the discretion of SYD. In the case of disputes, SYD’s decision is final. Any disputes can be raised by contacting SYD at the following: +61 2 9667 6111 from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday or customer.experience@syd.com.au.
SYD reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion at its discretion. SYD will take all reasonable steps to ensure that information about any such change is made publicly available on SYD’s website within a reasonable time before the draw takes place.
SYD accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries, or for any technical difficulties or periods of unavailability of the entry mechanism during the Promotional Period.
SYD’s decision in relation to all aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters the Promotion, and no correspondence will be entered into.
SYD will not be liable for, and each competition entrant releases (to the fullest extent permitted by law) SYD and its related bodies corporate, affiliates, officers, agents and employees, from all liabilities, loss and damage of any kind arising at any time out of or in connection with the competition and the Prize.
SYD reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual or company who it considers has breached any of these terms and conditions, or has engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competition.
Each entrant consents to SYD using the information provided by the entrant for purposes connected with improving the customer experience at SYD. Any personal information collected by SYD will be treated in accordance with its privacy policy available at www.sydneyairport.com.au/info-sheet/privacy.
