SYD Reveals Phase 1 of the T3 Upgrade

Sydney Airport is kicking off a major dining and retail transformation at the T3 Domestic Terminal. The first phase of this redevelopment will see 14 new food and beverage venues touch down at T3, including Maggio's, Slim's Quality Burgers and Loulou.

Whether you're flying out, welcoming someone home, or just looking for a tasty pre-flight bite, the new T3 line-up is designed to deliver a more exciting, elevated airport experience. Think premium pastries, classic burgers, handmade Italian favourites and more.

New T3 Dining Destinations

At the heart of the T3 refresh is a commitment to bringing authentic, high-quality food to the terminal with a range of local favourites and global flavours.

Maggios

Maggio's, a North Shore institution since 1998, will open its first airport location later this year. Known for its Italian pasticceria favourites, travellers can look forward to fresh cannoli, chocolate tortes, homemade lasagne, rustic pizzas, hearty sandwiches made from scratch, and Maggio's famous eggs in a fresh tomato and basil sauce.

Slim's Quality Burgers

Slim's Quality Burgers, a nostalgic burger joint known for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and retro charm, is set to serve up its signature fast-casual eats at T3. Think crispy tenders, fresh-cut fries, thick shakes, sundaes, deluxe cheeseburgers, and combo meals for the whole family.

Loulou

Renowned for its award-winning croissants and boulangerie, Loulou will bring a taste of France to T3 with a selection of flaky pastries, baguette sandwiches, rich pates and gourmet gifts, perfect for pre-flight bites, in-transit treats or luxury gifting.

These new openings will join recent arrivals like Luke Mangan's Bar & Bistro, crowned Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year at the global FAB Awards, alongside Stone & Wood's flagship airport bar and the Heinemann Domestic concept store.

What's Next at T3?

The dining expansion is just one part of a broader transformation across Terminal 3. Passengers can also look forward to upgraded shopfronts and signage, improved wayfinding to make navigating the terminal easier, and refreshed seating, finishes, and greenery designed to create a more welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

The remaining food venues and a mix of specialty retail stores will be revealed soon as Sydney Airport continues to evolve the terminal into a top-class travel hub. In the meantime, travellers can grab fresh food and coffee from temporary pop-ups including York Street Coffee, Sushi Saikou, and Baker's Cut, keeping everyone fuelled while construction is underway.

Stay tuned for more updates as the T3 transformation continues to unfold.
