Who remembers being at high school and having absolutely no idea what they wanted to do next?
For 2,000 high school students and job seekers attending the Southern Sydney Jobs & Skills Fair in July, the answer may have become a little clearer.
Sydney Airport joined the fair to help local students explore the many career pathways available across the airport precinct. Hosted by Business Chamber South, the event brought together more than 30 local schools, employers and training organisations from across the region, along with members of the public.
One of the biggest surprises for students speaking with Holly, Jack and Danica from our airport team was just how many different jobs exist at Sydney Airport. Today, around 35,000 people work across the precinct for more than 800 different organisations, making us one of the region's largest workplaces. And that's only expected to grow, with our research showing there will be around 44,500 jobs across the precinct by 2045.
