Quiet Room: Terms and Conditions of Use

These terms and conditions are effective as of 26 May 2026.

The following terms and conditions apply to the quiet room service (Quiet Room) provided by Sydney Airport Corporation Limited (ABN 62 082 578 809) (Sydney Airport, ‘us’, ‘we’ and ‘our’) at Terminal 1, Sydney International Airport (Airport).

  1. The Quiet Room is operational from 3.00am to 11.00pm each day, and may be closed for cleaning or other operational purposes.

  2. There is no charge for use of the Quiet Room.

  3. Use of the Quiet Room is subject to availability and limited to a maximum period of 45 minutes per person per day.

  4. The Quiet Room may be booked using the following methods:

a) in advance, via our online booking platform at this link: www.sydneyairport.com.au/quiet-room; and b) on the day of your travel through the Airport, by scanning the QR code on the door of the room, (Booking).

  1. If a Booking is confirmed, an email will be sent to the email address that you provided at the time of booking which includes a unique PIN code to access the Quiet Room (Access Code). The Access Code must be entered on the number pad at the entry to the Quiet Room.

  2. You and all guests that use the Quiet Room during a Booking must:

a) not allow more than four (4) people to use the Quiet Room at one time during a Booking; b)not use the Quiet Room for socialising, playing, eating or leisure purposes; c) keep conversations to a minimum and not talk loudly; d)use headphones for devices and keep the volume low; e) not bring food and drinks (except water) into the Quiet Room; f) ensue children are supervised by an adult at all times;
g) not smoke (including the use of electronic cigarettes, vapes and similar products) in the Quiet Room under any circumstances; h) be respectful to other users of the Quiet Room; and i) not remain in the Quiet Room or leave any personal belonging or rubbish in the Quiet Room after the Booking period ends.

  1. You may cancel your Booking at any time by:

a) clicking on the “manage booking” link included in your booking confirmation email; or b) vacating the Quiet Room prior to the expiry of your booking,

  1. We reserve the right to cancel your Booking if:

a) required for security, safety or operational reasons. To the extent possible, we will give reasonable advance notice if we are required to cancel your booking for this reason; or b) you or any guest commit a material breach of these terms and conditions, including the requirements in clauses 5.

  1. As is now common in many areas frequented by members of the public, the Airport, Quiet Room and surrounding areas are monitored by CCTV.

  2. Without limiting any rights you might have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), we do not give any warranties in respect of the Suites Services or Booking Service.

  3. You acknowledge and agree we will collect your personal information for the purpose of facilitating your booking and providing the Quiet Room. We will handle personal information in accordance with our Quiet Room Collection Notice, which can be found here: www.sydneyairport.com.au/collection-notices/quiet-room and as otherwise set out in our privacy policy, which can be found here: www.sydneyairport.com.au/info-sheet/privacy.

  4. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time by posting updated terms and conditions on our website at: www.sydneyairport.com.au/quiet-room/conditions-of-use.

  5. Regardless of where you may be when you make your booking, the laws of New South Wales apply to these terms and conditions and the courts based there shall have jurisdiction.
